OCM1 Output Control Module

OCM1 addressable output control modules control actuators from a part of the fire alarm system. Functionally, addressable relay modules are remotely operated outputs of supply voltage. They are designed to operate as a part of addressable system controlled by the R3500 receiving and control alarm panel.

Addressable relay modules are programmable devices. 


It is configured by the user with the FireSec Administrator software.


Depending on the output quantity (number of relays), relay module is designed in two versions:

  • OCM1  one output OUTPUT1;

The following equipment and devices can be connected to the addressable relay module:

  • illuminated information panels (OPOP 1-8 or similar);
  • sound alarms (OPOP 2-35 or similar);
  • light and sound alarms (OPOP 124-7 or similar).

OCM module controls the circuit from each relay to actuators for interruption and short circuit in switched-on and switched-off relay condition.

Addressable relay module receives commands to control built-in relays via two-wire unipolar addressable communication line.

Relay module has LED communication indicator with control and indicating panel and the activated relay state indicator.

OCM relay module may be installed in DIN rail using special securing bar (not in the scope of supply; may be provided by separate order).

Relay module is equipped with load connection devices (LCD) the number of which corresponds to the number of outputs to control the line for interruption and short circuit. LCD is a circuit board with installed LEDs, input terminal for relay connection to the line and output terminal for connection to load (actuator).

For interruption and short circuit control of the line, LCD should be connected directly to the load of relay output (to the actuator) according to the Output4 connection diagram shown in the picture. If the integrity of the load circuit needs to be controlled, then connection is provided according to the Output3 connection scheme on the diagram. Instead of LCD, diodes can be used for circuit integrity control. Their connection is shown on connection diagram to Output2. Several devices, i.e. OPOP 1-8 or OPOP 1-8M indication panels may also be connected to the same output. In this case, the indication panels shall be connected to the line in parallel, and one control current diode shall be mounted at the end of the line. Installation diagram is shown on a scheme in case of connection to Output1.

To control Interruption state in ON output condition it is necessary to ensure current flow through the load of at least 10 mA. If the LCD's current consumption is less than 10 mA, resistor is connected in parallel to increase the current consumption. However, the majority of devices connected to the outputs of OCM module have a current consumption of more than 10 mA (panel, sirens etc.), in this case the installation of such resistor is not required.

Within the system each relay of the addressable relay module OCM is a stand-alone logical device, i.e. each relay is defined as a stand-alone fully-featured device and takes one address in the system.
