The detector is intended for 24 hours uninterrupted operation with control and indicating panels ensuring supply voltage in the alarm loop within the range of 9 to 30V, which accept “Fire” signal in the form of detector internal resistance hopping decrease in normal polarity up to the value of 1000 Ohm, such as Granit, Grand Magistr, VERS PK, Signal-20, Signal-20P, etc.
The detector performs the following functions:
- smoke concentration measurement;
- digital processing of the measurement results based on special algorithms and making a decision on the “Fire” signal generation;
- internal resistance reduce in “Fire” mode to 1 kOhm;
- functioning test using special device;
- Operating modes LED indication.
A distinctive feature of the IP 212-141M detector is an innovative self-developed ASIC R2 microcircuit. This microcircuit uses a schematic solution to eliminate interference. The detector complies with the requirements of GOST 53325 for the 4th degree of severity in terms of resistance to electrical interference in circuits, power supply and noise emission. As a result, the probability of false triggering of the detector to electromagnetic disturbances, for example, from lamp light, is completely excluded.
The “Fire” signal remains active when smoke exposure to the detector stops. Reset is performed using receiving and control panel by detector power switching off at least 2 sec.
Connection of the detector and the base is of plug-type. Circular contacts allow mounting of the detector without orientation with respect to the base. The base is unified, any Rubezh detector may be installed without the need of reinstallation. The AL minus wire is connected to short-circuited by the 3 and 4 detector contacts. This provides “AL failure” signal sending to FACIE when the detector is disconnected.
The detector may be installed on suspended ceiling using special base with mounting ring.
Screw-free mounting method using clamp-button ensures reliable contact and easy installation.
In case of detector connection to receiving and control panel AL with activated detectors quantity determination function (double-trip function), the auxiliary resistor Raux is used. The auxiliary resistor rating depends on receiving and control panel connected and is designed using device circuit loop resistance in “Fire” and “Warning” modes as an input data. Instead of auxiliary resistor, US-01 compatibilizer may be used. It is plugged into the detector's base and has a resistor (rating to be determined at ordering) and a terminal block.
The detector may operate with four-wire connection devices. For this purpose, US-02 compatibilizer is used. This compatibilizer shall be mounted within detector's standard base.
The detector provides connection with remote optical alarm device.
When double tripping is not required, the Raux auxiliary resistor is not installed. In this case, to prevent detector failure, receiving and control panel requires 20 mA current limiting function in “Fire” mode.
