The IZ-1 prot.R3 loop insulator is designed for an addressable communication line part disconnection in case of a short circuit.
The IZ-1 prot.R3 loop insulator is the addressable device and takes one address in the ACL.
To provide the connection with the addressable communication line, two double contact terminal blocks ALS1 and ALS2 are available on the board. ALS1 and ALS2 terminals have an equal priority in connection with ACL.
The following is available at the loop circuit insulator board:
- ALS1 and ALS2 terminals are double contact terminal blocks of equal priority in connection with ACL;
- state indicator;
- TEST/tamper button
Protected section of the loop starts near the insulator and ends near the next insulator or the last device within the loop or branch.
|Loop circuit insulator state||Indication|
|Standby||Flashing once per (4-5) seconds|
|ACL short circuit||Fast flashing (twice a second)|
Rapid flashing for (2-3) s when
TEST button is pressed
|No power supply||Off|
